About FloodProtection.now

FloodProtection.now is a free guide to protecting Southwest Florida homes and businesses from flooding and storm surge: Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel, Sarasota, Venice, Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte.

How the guides are written

Every fact is checked against a primary source and linked where it appears: FEMA and the NFIP, National Hurricane Center storm reports, Florida statutes and the Florida Division of Emergency Management, and county and city building departments. Where no official figure exists (flood panel prices, for example), we say so and name the source of the estimate.

Quotes

floodprotection.now is run by Neural Command, which refers homeowners to Flood Barrier Pros. Quote requests are handled by Flood Barrier Pros, which is operated by Rubicon Flood Control and installs flood panels and barriers in Southwest Florida. Call or text (239) 810-8761. Before hiring any contractor, check the license at MyFloridaLicense.com and confirm who pulls the permit.

What we are not

We are not FEMA, an insurer or a government agency, and nothing here is insurance, engineering or legal advice. Follow evacuation orders: no flood barrier makes it safe to stay in a storm surge zone.
