Flood barrier dealer and installer programs compared

By the FloodProtection.now team · Last reviewed 14 October 2026

Several flood product makers publicly invite dealers or contractors, including Dam Easy, Flood Barrier Inc., Garrison Flood Control and EnduraFlood, and flood vent makers Smart Vent and FloodFlaps list authorized dealers. Most publish few terms. Before signing, ask about test certification, territory, training, warranty, minimum orders, lead sharing and engineering and permit support.

Disclosure: floodprotection.now is run by Neural Command, LLC, which refers homeowners and businesses to flood protection installers and runs the installer network described at the end of this page. We have no commercial relationship with the companies below. This page does not rank or rate any of them.

If you are starting a flood protection business, our guide on how to start a flood barrier installation business covers licensing, permits and risks. This page covers the product side: which companies say, on their own websites, that they work with dealers, distributors or installers.

How we built this list

We checked each company's own website in October 2026. We list only what the company states publicly. "Not stated" means we could not find it on the company's pages, not that the company does not offer it. Programs change, so confirm terms directly.

Companies where we found no public program

These companies sell flood barriers in the US, but their sites did not show a dealer or installer program when we checked. Some may still work with resellers; ask.

How to evaluate a dealer program

Ask every company the same questions and get the answers in writing.

Product testing - Which products are tested, to which standard, and to what water height? For barriers, the most widely cited standard is ANSI/FM 2510 (FM Approvals). Can you show me the listing in FM's Approval Guide? - The standard excludes coastal barriers and wind loads. How do you handle coastal jobs? - For flood vents, is there a current evaluation report showing the vent meets FEMA's flood opening requirements (FEMA flood openings bulletin)? - In Florida, does the product have Florida Product Approval, and does my building department require it?

Territory - Is my territory exclusive, and how is it defined? What happens if I miss a sales target? - Do you also sell direct to homeowners, or through other dealers, in my area?

Training and support - What installation and sales training is included, and who pays travel? - Do you supply engineering drawings, wall-load calculations or sealed letters for permit packages? FDEM lists a signed engineering evaluation as a typical permit item (FDEM guidance). - Will you help when a building department questions the product? See our flood panel permit guide.

Money - What are the minimum opening orders, annual minimums and demo inventory requirements? - What are payment terms and lead times before hurricane season? - Is there a fee to join, renew or use the brand?

Warranty and liability - What does the manufacturer's warranty cover, for how long, and who handles seal replacement? - Who is responsible if a barrier leaks or fails: the manufacturer, the dealer or the installer? - Do you require me to carry specific insurance, and do you carry product liability insurance?

Leads and marketing - Do you share leads? How are they assigned, and do they cost anything? - What brand rules apply? EnduraFlood, for example, bars registered contractors from calling themselves dealers.

Fit for your market - Can this product be permitted where I work? Fort Myers Beach has said residential flood panels "are not permittable" (Pine Island Eagle). - Is it priced for the customers I serve? Our flood panel cost guide shows what homeowners are being quoted.

Frequently asked questions

Which flood barrier companies have dealer programs?
On their own websites, Dam Easy invites distributors, resellers and referral partners; Flood Barrier Inc. has a Become a Distributor page; Garrison Flood Control has a Become an Authorized Garrison Dealer page; and Advanced Hurricane Technology runs an authorized dealer program whose catalog includes flood barriers. Terms are mostly not published.
Do flood vent makers have dealers?
Yes. Smart Vent's dealer locator lists authorized installers and surveyors, and FloodFlaps refers buyers to authorized dealers by email. Neither site publishes an application or terms for new dealers, so contact their sales teams.
Is there a flood barrier product certification I should require?
The most widely cited standard is ANSI/FM 2510, and FM Approved products are listed in FM's online Approval Guide. Ask for the listing, not just a logo. Florida's Division of Emergency Management says certification alone does not show a product suits a specific building.
Do dealer programs give exclusive territories?
None of the program pages we reviewed promises exclusive territory. EnduraFlood asks applicants to list registered contractors already in their area. Ask each company for territory terms in writing.
